ABOUT US

Committed to building a better future

Please enter alternative text here (optional)

Hilti was founded in 1941, and evolved from a small family company to the trusted global business we are today.

Our aim is to build a better future. By this we mean helping our customers to build faster, safer and with more daring, while all the time being mindful of the legacy we leave behind. We want to be proud of the mark we make on the world.

To ensure the integrity of our products, we run our own production plants and cutting-edge research and development centers right across the world. Our head office is in Schaan in the Principality of Liechtenstein, where Martin Hilti established the company 75 years ago.

Hilti makes costruction sites work simpler, faster, and safer.

Working with our Customers

Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we champion our own direct sales teams, with over two-thirds of our Hilti team members working directly with our customers every day. Hilti stands for quality, innovation and direct customer relationships. The company has roughly 250,000 individual interactions each day, meaning that many innovative ideas are developed directly on construction sites. If a Hilti solution does not exist, we create one!

How we work?
WE MAKE AND RESEARCH OUR OWN LEADING-EDGE PRO

At Hilti we like to do things differently. We create technologies, software and services, which clearly stand out from the rest. We run our own research and design labs, working with top technical universities and partners, all over the world. We make our own products in Hilti factories and with external partners, making sure all our products match the same high quality and standards. And we are a privately owned company, founded in 1941 by Martin Hilti and still held by the Hilti family today. So we are looking to build for the future and not for short term gain.

Plano, TX Headquarters

Designing HQ

When designing what would become our current North America home, our goal was to create a work envionrment showcasing the two things which consistently set Hilti apart from others in our industry - our people and our products.  Like the space, we are open.  Open to new ideas.  Open to new possibilties.  Open to embracing the future.

Innovation in Design

As a company that has built its global brand on innovation and quality, we wanted to reflect these values and incorporate ground-breaking design concepts.  Clean lines.  Hilti products integrated in unique ways which includes using our diamond core drill bits along the stariwell.  These all speak to a space that highlights our culture of innovation.

Fresh perspective

To achieve our vision, we considered every feature from a fresh perspective.  We took the opportunity to give the smallest details new meaning and purpose.  In the end, we know that a workspace has the ability to say a great deal about the company, its culture, and its people.

Our Awe-inspiring global ventures

We’re committed to building value for stakeholders both inside and outside the organization. That means we consider the interests of customers, suppliers, team members—and society as a whole—in everything we do. We take social and ecological responsibility seriously, because we believe it sets a precedent for long-term success.

    A Tight Spot

The commute from Toluca to Mexico City is both time-consuming and dangerous. The 90 minute drive causes an average of 400 accidents and 30 fatalities a year. A new 58-kilometer-long rail line, which covers the route in only 39 minutes, will change this while also helping to improve the city's notoriously poor air quality, largely generated by road traffic. Hilti Mexico is playing a key role in the project by contributing specialized services, products and the support of engineers. Our diamond drilling system is being used to increase the stability of a rail support pillar.

    Rock Solid

2400 meters above sea level in the Swiss Alps, an unusual noise can be heard in the idyllic mountain landscape near Zermatt. New training grounds are being erected for the mountain and air rescue operations of Ari Zermatt. This is why a Hilti cordless combihammer is drilling precise anchor holes. In the future, they will safely hold doctors and paramedics on the steep cliffs during training exercises.

    Rerailers

For six years, the mammoth London Bridge Station construction site was like a second home to some Hilti employees. Always available, always there and always with the right products when the contractor needed support. Numerous fastening solutions and corresponding software were constantly in demand, as was Hilti's engineering know-how. The railway station will be finished in 2018 and the 56 million passengers who use the station annually will move through the British capital much faster.
