Here at Hilti North America, team members are encouraged to give back to their local communities. Team members across the U.S. and Canada volunteer their time and efforts to build a better future where we live and work.
We stand behind our words, too. Each team member receives two paid days off annually to volunteer as they see fit, with an organization or cause they’re passionate about.
We provide lots of opportunities to serve and explore. For example:

To help break the cycle of poverty in our communities, Hilti partners with dozens of organizations to take a hands-on approach to provide education, training and employment opportunities.
Whether building a house or working in the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Hilti volunteers work to build affordable and sustainable housing for the local communities.

The 2018 United Way Employee Giving Campaign is in full swing here at Hilti! Team members in our Plano headquarters had an opportunity to hear about United Way's important work in the community and assemble back-to-school supply kits for local schools.
A great day building a better future with St. Bernard Project (SBP). Hilti teammates demonstrated their sheet rocking and taping skills in Keansburg, NJ. SBP is working hard to get displaced families back in their homes after disasters and shorten the time between disaster and recovery.
The Hilti Finance FP&A team had a great time volunteering with Meals on Wheels. The volunteers packed close to 500 meals, worked in the kitchen, and broke down boxes. It was great to work with the cheerful people that are dedicated to helping others.

We require all our team members to always act within the law and within our own corporate guidelines. Our Code of Conduct for team members lays out how we work and is at the heart of how we do business. All our team members are trained to understand compliance.
We contractually require our suppliers to maintain fundamental requirements in the areas of human rights, labor rights, work safety and environmental protection and that they pledge to abstain from corruption. These standards are binding even if applicable national or international laws call for more lenient standards. We monitor our suppliers via various monitoring instruments such as audits.
