Baseplate design and installation

Faster and safer solutions for your connections

From steel skeletons and staircases to handrails and outdoor seating – help speed up design and installation of your baseplates without compromising on quality and safety.

With our hardware, software and service solutions, you’ll also help reduce the risk of costly rework and lengthy inspections while enjoying expert support in finding the right solution – no matter how complex the job.

Save time on design

Design steel-to-concrete and steel-to-masonry connections as a whole

Baseplate design can be difficult and time-consuming. PROFIS Engineering Suite makes performing analysis of the complete connection including post-installed anchors, baseplate, and welds easier. Enabling you to more easily model, calculate and generate reports for the complete connection.

With PROFIS, you can design steel column base plates, ledger angles, handrail connections, and other secondary structural connections such at platforms or staircase connections.

Improve baseplate positioning

Boost layout accuracy and avoid time-consuming rebar hits

Hidden rebar is the enemy of baseplate applications. Help reduce the risk of structural damage and last-minute design changes by carrying out a detailed structural analysis of your base material with a concrete scanner such as the PS 300 Ferroscan. For more accurate baseplate layout that helps prevent fastener failure, use rotating lasers and total stations. Requiring minimal training thanks to intuitive software, our layout tools also turn layout into a one-person job, helping to bring down your labor costs.

Clean while you drill

Faster workflows with automatic hole cleaning

Speed up drilling with powerful cordless SDS-plus rotary hammers. For better productivity and safety, explore Hilti SafeSet technologies that don't require extra cleaning when using a hollow drill bit and an approved Hilti vacuum cleaner.

Set anchors faster

Speed up workflows with anchor innovation

Working with chemical anchors? Set your anchor faster and cut mortar waste by up to 20% to inject an adhesive anchor like HIT-HY 200 V3 thanks to more accurate dosing when you use our HDE 500-22 mortar dispenser. Then simply place a HIT-Z anchor rod – which can be installed without hole cleaning.

For an alternative to chemical anchors- Kwik-X dual action anchor system combines the performance of an adhesive anchors and the installation speed and simplicity of screw anchors.

Torque done right, done faster

Get more reliable installation quality

Lower the risk of over- or under-torqued anchors with our Adaptive Torque (AT) system. It combines our SIW 4AT-22 cordless impact wrench with the SI AT-22 module. This enables impact wrench-based tightening in line with international approvals. Use Hilti AT Documentation Software to document your work.

Test and document anchors

Expert pull-out tests and simpler fastener tracking

Our trained and experienced engineers can perform pull-out tests of your fasteners to help verify that your engineered design standards are met. Testing is tailored to your requirements with regularly calibrated equipment and can be carried out during the design phase to check the resistance of a base material, or after installation as proof loading of the anchor installations is carried out. You will receive a comprehensive technical report.

You can also simplify documentation and help streamline inspections with Hilti TraceFast technology: Track individual fasteners with a cellphone, see if they have been installed, and record installation quality.

Hilti SafeSet Installation

To safely install an adhesive anchor, it's important to make sure that the dust and debris are cleaned from the hole. Hilti's SafeSet methods of installation help remove dust and debris, reducing or eliminating the need for manual cleaning.
