Are load adjustment factors applicable if adhesive anchors/anchor installed in concrete foundation at grater than minimum edge distance and maintained minimum spacing?
Hello,
Thank you for your question.
The simplified tables are a combination of 2 tables: The single anchor capacity tables and the reduction factor tables.
The reduction factor tables are created by comparing the single anchor capacity to the capacity that includes the influence of a specific edge distance, spacing or concrete thickness. Therefore, the load adjustment factors are applicable even beyond the minimum geometry requirements, as these factors change depending on the embedment (Horizontal box attached), and the Edge distance/ Spacing/ Member thickness (Vertical box on the left attached).
Also please read the attached table footnote #3, you will find the link to use PROFIS Engineering here: profisengineering.hilti.com
Before using the Hilti Simplified Tables, we highly recommend reviewing Section 3 of the Anchor Fastening Technical Guide, specifically Section 3.1.8
