Do you firestop a penetration in a secondary gypsum wall around a shaft?
Hello!
A fire rated gypsum shaft has been built and penetrations firestopped according to the respective membrane listings. However, a few inches on the outside a secondary, regular double-layered gypsum wall has been built. Should you firestop penetrations only in the shaft wall, the secondary one or both?
