Hi, we are trying to fire stop new penetrations in an existing composite concrete floor (concrete in metal pan). There is spray fireproofing to contend with and difficult access. The penetrants are 3" diameter plastic drain lines. The floors are required to be a 2-hour fire separation. I have attached photos of attempted installations for reference.
I was hoping that you could recommend a system for this situation. Thank you. Brian
Hi Brian,
Attached is the general tested firestop system for non-metallic pipes through concrete floor over metal deck. However, an Engineering Judgement is needed to show the fireproofing. If you would like to proceed with that, please send this
information along with more information about the fireproofing used to cafirestop@hilti.com and they will be
able to assist you with that.
