Hello Hilti team.
My name is Parth. My company has its own fabiraction shop. My question is can I cut the Hilti HAS-B 105 Galvanized anchors ?
I ordered 8" long acnhors and Site needs only 6" long.
So, can we cut these 8" long- galvanized anchors and make them 6" long?

Typically, engineers avoid cutting anchor rods for the following reasons:
- The corrosion resistance properties of the anchor could be reduced.
- Cutting would remove the length identification mark on the anchor.
- The threads of the anchor could be damaged, making it more difficult to remove the nut and washer.
- the mechanical properties of the anchor could be changed, resulting in reduced load capacity
If corrosion is a concern, the Corrosion Handbook may be of use as a reference in this scenario.
Ultimately the decision to cut threaded rods is outside the scope of Hilti's testing and is at the discretion of the Engineer of Record on the project.
