HILTI TZ2 INSTALLATION SEQUENCE WHEN WE HAVE GROUT

For installation of the KBTZ2 in a grouted standoff condition, the installer should put metal shims under the fixture plate to prevent the fixture from moving when the torque is applied to the anchor as the plate needs to be rigid so that the anchor can be installed correctly. Grouting should be applied in the end.

It's important to note that the installer should NOT put levelling nuts under the fixture because it would prohibit an expansion anchor from pulling up into the wedge (it would just clamp the fixture plate to the levelling nut).

Without the clamping forces and correct installation of the KB-TZ2, the anchor is not properly set and may not perform as designed. When the anchor is properly set, the mandrel of the anchor is properly engaged with the wedges that are engaged with the base material.
