Profis discrepancy with shear values HSN-24 with S-SLC

Profis software seems to report unusually high shear value when using standard 1.5" roof deck with INTERLOCKING sidelaps when HSN-24 fasteners are used with S-SLC screws. The value is higher than when ENP-19 pins are substituted which is not expected. When changing from interlocking to nested deck, there is a significant drop in shear strength with HSN-24 fasteners. The values with interlocking deck appear more reasonable. Understood that generally only interlocking deck should be used with sidelap screws. There is also a significant difference in shear strength of ENP-19 when switching between interlocking and nested deck. These difference do not exist with any other combination of fasteners.

Hello Ryan,

Thank you for your question and thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Could you please send your .pe file (save file in PROFIS Engineering) to our Engineering support mailbox: catechnicalservices@hilti.com so we can investigate further? Thank you.

Have a great day.

Hi Nathan, Hilti Profis is down right now for maintenance so I do not have access to get the file. However the PDF i included has all the screen shot with all the parameters that were used. it can easily be reproduced based on that document alone.
