Hi Hilti Team,
We are looking for a Hilti sealant recommendation for an exterior insulated metal wall assembly.
The sealant would be installed:
1- At the base where the wall panel meets the base flashing.
2- Between vertical wall panel seams.
3- At the top where the wall panel meets the top channel/drip flashing.
The primary requirement is to maintain a vapour-tight and air-tight seal. Please advise the most suitable Hilti product and any installation requirements or limitations.
A marked-up detail is attached for reference.
Thanks for reaching out. Hilti firestop products are not designed or tested for exterior exposure, and we require exterior grade sealant on the exterior side of the panels. Please submit a new EJ request on Hilti Construction Platform and we can look into alternative solutions.
