Canadian Code requires a FT fire stop where walls meet ceilings as per the detail above.
Does this detail provide a 1 hour FT rating if the ceiling GWB is mounted to resilient channels not directly to the joists?
Acoustic consultants require the ceiling top GWB to be spaced away from the wall GWB 1/8 - 1/4", does this comply with testing requirements?
