Firestop Changes in the 2020 National Building Code of Canada (FS320-Canada) - Video
The 2020 NBC, issued in Spring 2022, includes over a dozen major changes related to the firestop requirements. This seminar will review in detail the new and revised code sections. These changes provide significantly improved clarity and precision on how to restore the integrity of a rated floor or wall assembly where penetrations and joints are present. The seminar will additionally cover the newly detailed fire resistance “continuity” requirements for the edge-of-slab gap between a fire rated floor and a normally non-rated curtain wall. - Video
