SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH CIRCULARITY

Fleet Management makes it easy

Help generate maximum value, streamline operations, and better the environment while reducing your business' resource consumption by implementing a usage model like Hilti's Fleet Management where circularity is a crucial part of the sustainability journey.

As an ISO 14001 certified company, Hilti has implemented practices for an effective environmental management system.

In Hilti North America:

1,000,000 Pounds

of tools are recycled per year
We recycle our tools as well as any competitive trade-ins we receive.

1,400 tools

are recovered annually, refurbished and donated to non-profits and schools
Support circularity by letting us collect your expired tools at no cost.

,06 % Scrap Rate

to promote waste reduction
We actively manage our product development process to avoid unnecessary excess production.

58,000 pounds

of batteries are recycled per year
We're working hard to ensure these products don't end up in landfills.

Reduce Wasteful overbuying

Now you can do more with less

Fleet Management helps ensure you have only the equipment you need. And with ON!Track, our asset management software, you can identify idle or lost assets as you move from project to project. Need something for just a few days or weeks? Don't buy it – use our Tools on Demand service instead.

You'll always get high-quality tools that last longer, and our local repair centers work to extend their lives even more. If your tools are still productive at the end of the agreement, you decide if you want to extend their contract.

Waste not want not

We'll reuse what you no longer need

It's a seamless process - we'll collect unwanted tools from you at no cost, even competitors' tools and batteries.

After an exhaustive inspection by our experts, the tools that are deemed functionally equivalent to new will join our rental pool, offsetting the need to manufacture and transport new equipment.

Others will be donated for non-intensive use by humanitarian and educational organizations. Components that meet our high quality standards will be reused by our repair centers, and remaining parts will go to our recycling partners.

Recycle virtually indefinitely

What we can't reuse, we'll try to recycle

Tools or components that can't be reused are handled by our audited global recycling partners.

We take responsibility for our products throughout their lifetime. Much of a typical tool's mass is high-quality metals that can be recycled virtually indefinitely for various applications, and though we achieve a high level of non-thermal recycling in our markets, we're continuing to work with our recycling partners to increase yield even more.

What the experts are saying about circularity

Among all the new green solutions and innovative technology supporting the industry in becoming more sustainable, lies circularity. In this episode we look at how the industry is adopting a circular model to reduce their environmental impact.
