HSL4, sleeve or wedge anchor?
Based anchor classification, there are two types of mechanical torque-controlled expansion anchors, a sleeve anchor and wedge anchor.
Is the HSL4 anchor classified as a expansion torque-controlled sleeve anchor or expansion torque-controlled wedge anchor?
The ICC-ES ESR-4386 classifies the HSL4 anchor as a "torque-set, sleeve-type expansion anchor".
However, the product description on the website classifies the HSL4 anchor as a "HSL4 Heavy-duty wedge anchor".
Can you please clarify which category this anchor falls under?

Hello,
Thank you for your question.
The HSL4 is a sleeve anchor, similarly to a wedge anchor, it is a Torque-Controlled Expansion Anchor as per ACI 355.2.
