The testing method for the post-installation of mechanical anchors and adhesive anchors into masonry has recently received a refresh and soon engineers will be able to capitalize on the benefits in their designs. The acceptance criteria for post-installed anchorage into masonry, which defines the testing protocol for products used in construction thus demonstrating their compliance with model building code, has been revised and engineers will now be able to design post-installed anchors into masonry using a design method based on ACI 318 anchorage provisions.
